Mission & Vision
Our mission is to build an organization with a strong foundation. Using Football as the tool to teach great habits that will help our athletes become productive citizens. Our values will be built on characteristics of : respect, accountability , and dedication.

THE NEST

I love football and everything that comes with it. I never been the tallest or biggest, but that never stopped me. I always accepted the challenge and made sure I out worked every opponent. I believe If you have the right people surrounding these kids you can help unlock “a Quality of Life”. I was fortunate to have all the right coaches surrounding me during my football career. Without them volunteering and being a part of the village that surrounded me my outcome could have been different today. My “WHY” is the kids. They deserve the same village I had surrounding them so that excuses are eliminated, and creating opportunity is something that they know they can have in life. When I say it's bigger then football I mean it!

My love for football started at an early age. I started playing football at the age
of 4. My dad was huge on football being that he did play for WVU and a year
with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Football is more then a game to me it taught
me how to become a better men and person. Not only does it help you create
lifetime friendship's it also builds confidence and character.

I started coaching to give back to the community and help our young men. This
is what make our Organization strong you have all walks of life in one bunch of
coaches. My goal is to help develop these young men into Leaders and take
control of their own destiny. Trials and tribulations will occur in their
lifetime, but it starts with demonstration and guidance. I am here to bring the
best out of your Athlete on and off the field.

Football has done so much for me throughout the duration of my life. My first love! Football was a sport I dedicated my hard work and talent to. Growing up with my two older brothers, sports were all we knew. My brothers kept me in the right direction and pushed me hard along with my parents. As time went by, I knew football would be something that would take me far. I received a full ride football scholarship to Colorado State University. Got there thinking just because I was a great high school player, that was good enough to get me on the field. Hardest lesson I’ve ever endured was leaving Colorado State University because of my focus and ego.

Instead of having patience, working hard and earning what I went there for in the first play, to ball! Two junior colleges later and not finishing college was the one regret I did have, and I beat myself over it for years. Eventually, I understood and knew that the only way I could give my knowledge of the game back was to coach. Teach kids to believe and never quit on themselves. Work hard and be dedicated to their craft.
Playing and coaching football taught me how to handle both success and failure. You must learn to accept a loss but also learn from it to become a stronger individual and team player. You learn not to blame losses on anyone but to focus on how you can improve as a person. Just as important as learning how to handle failure is learning how to handle success. No one likes a poor winner. Acknowledging the hard work of the losing team by shaking hands at the end of the game teaches character. Someone who is gracious win or lose on the football field grows into a co-worker or supervisor who gains the respect of his work team as well as clients and customers! THAT’S THE LASTING EMPRESSION I WANT TO HAVE ON OUR KIDS.

As the General Manager of this organization I’m here to not only support the coaches and staff, but also our players and parents. Being a Veteran, I’m very big on POSITIVITY, INTEGRITY, STRUCTURE, ACCOUNTABILITY, and CONSISTENCY. It’s my goal to make this more than just about football. We are here to build genuine and long-lasting relationships with everyone that joins the Box State Hornets! I will make sure that every resource that’s needed is available to our families so that our village can flourish on and off the field!
